Important Delivery Information from Lightning Logs
At Lightning Logs, we’re dedicated to providing you with a seamless delivery experience for your firewood orders. Please review the following key information to ensure a smooth process:
Order Delivery Restrictions
- Mega or XL Crates: Do not order Mega or XL crates if you have restricted access, as these require delivery by 18-tonne trucks.
- Delivery Restrictions: Delivery is made with a pallet truck, driver will endeavour to get pallet as close to your house as possible. If there are uneven surfaces such as gravel, the pallet will be dropped kerbside only. Please take all this information into consideration before ordering as any pallet unable to be delivered will incur a £75 charge taken from your refund to cover our costs.
Free Delivery & Additional Charges
- Free Delivery: Available to most postcodes on all bulk orders over £25.00.
- Additional Charges: Some postcodes in Scotland, London, the South, Scottish Highlands, and Islands may incur extra charges based on weight.

Delivery Timelines & Scheduling
- Choose Your Delivery Day: Select a preferred delivery date.
- Redelivery Charge: If you’re not home on the chosen day and delivery is attempted, a £40 redelivery fee applies.
- Orders Under 100kg:
- Aimed for next working day delivery before 12:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
- Orders Over 100kg:
- Delivered within a 2-3 day service.
- Possible Delays:
- Exceptional circumstances may cause delays.
- Note: We’re not responsible for delays if you’ve taken a day off work.
Delivery Process
- Kerbside Delivery: Standard deliveries are made to the kerbside.
- Driver Assistance: Our drivers may attempt to bring your pallet closer if possible.
- Gravel Drives:
- We recommend ordering nets so the delivery can be hand-unloaded without issues.
- Property Access:
- If you ask the delivery company to enter your property, we’re not liable for any damages during delivery.
Pre-Order Dates & Estimates
- Estimated Dates:
- Pre-order dates indicate goods are en route to our warehouse.
- Possible Delays:
- Customs and driver shortages may cause delays of up to a week.
- We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Additional Delivery Options
- Express Next Day Delivery:
- Charge: Additional £25.00 per pallet.
- Timing: Delivery the day after dispatch, within 1-2 working days of order.
- Note: This is an “open booking” delivery; no further call will be made.
- Saturday Delivery:
- Availability: For orders under £100.
- Charge: Additional £25.00 per pallet.
- Order Cut-off: Must be received by Friday 11:00 a.m. for Saturday delivery.
- Delivery Window: Between 8:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., not booked in advance.
Delivery Terms & Conditions

- National Deliveries:
- Considered “Economy”, taking 2-3 working days from dispatch unless specified.
- Delivered on a pallet using a tail lift lorry with a hand pump truck (no crane facilities).
- Order Cancellations:
- Before Dispatch: No charge.
- After Dispatch: A cancellation fee of £55.00 applies.
- Upon Delivery:

- Inspect Your Goods: Check all items upon arrival.
- Signing Paperwork: Sign the delivery documents unless prior arrangements have been made to leave goods at your property.
